DEMA: MORE THAN 25 YEARS OF INNOVATION
Design and Manufacturing SpA (DEMA) was established in 1993 in Naples as an aerospace engineering company.
Over the years, the company grew to include the production of aeronautical components, first in Campania (Somma Vesuviana and Paolisi) and then in Apulia (Brindisi), expanding its technological capability in composite materials and assembly.
In 2004, DEMA expanded its international collaboration by opening Dema Aeronautics Inc. in Montréal, Canada. Dema Aeronautics is a specialized engineering center of excellence boasting collaboration with important research centers and universities in Canada.
Today DEMA offers its customers design, industrialization, production, and assembly of complex aerostructures.
In 2006 the IMI Fondi Chiusi SGR fund entered DEMA’s capital stock in order to support the company’s development plan. In 2017, through an extraordinary transaction, the British fund Bybrook Capital, supported by the international investments bank Morgan Stanley, invested in DEMA to sustain restructuring and turnaround.
Currently DEMA Group includes DEMA SpA (Somma Vesuviana-NA, Brindisi), CAM Srl (Paolisi-BN), DAR Srl (Brindisi), and Dema Aeronautics Inc. (Montréal).
